This spark of life, stirring in an ocean of emptiness.

A speck of infinite potential, swirling in a storm.

A jellyfish swept around at the mercy of the tides.

A worm, blind, yet filled with senses to survive.

This spark, turning into flame, erupting into explosion.

The foam of life changing, a little wave emerging,

Inside, a fish, navigating through deadly waters.

Under it, scorpions, sharp and attentive,

A fish escaping while a wave is breaking,

Washing up on land, crawling, taking first breaths.

Bound to the waters behind them,

Yet, focused on the empty space ahead,

Not yet filled with the music of life,

But strange and vast.

Wet skin changes.

Eggs transforming too.

What was soft turns hard.

Where there was moist skin, there are now scales.

First, so small, always slipping away, escaping a spider,

Hiding from the coming shadow of a dragonfly.

Forests so big, the world a different place.

But nothing remains, everything changes.

A shift in the balance.

The flow of life disturbed, taking on new forms.

Like sails in the wind but moving on their own.

Basking in the sun and conquering the earth.

Yet, this world is unforgiving.

This spark forever changing.

Small things grow larger.

Others grow smaller and hide.

Larger things grow even larger.

Life transforms from fantastic to gigantic.

Beasts walk this earth, this spark of life forever changed.

The earth trembles beneath them, leaving behind the largest footprints,

The world has ever seen. In the oceans, they are grander than waves.

And in the skies, they cast shadows on land, longer than ever before.

But nothing stops moving.

Orbiting bodies collide.

Inferno and fire.

Death and decay,

Followed by winter,

And silence.

From the ashes, a new Empire rises.

Having existed in shadow and hiding.

New life conquers the world.

Singing whales in the deep blue sea.

Beautiful lions in green jungles.

But the heavens still belong to the creatures of the past.

Birds rule the sky, their wings lift them up high,

Observing the world below, noticing stranger creatures.

Endless ice begins to form,

 Snow falls.

The cold is coming and with it come men,

Adapting to every problem they encounter,

Evolving faster than anything before,

Magnificent and doomed.

Specialising, ignoring the great depths they sink into.

Before they realise it’s too late,

Unable to escape their own making,

Sharing the fate of every spark of life on this planet’s story.

From ascend to descend,

Their world breaking.

Rising and falling,

Their rule, ultimately nothing, compared to what has been before.

They leave behind a barren world.

An empty ocean and a quiet sky.

Yet, this spark of life stirs again.

A speck of infinite potential,

Swirling in a perfect storm.

And it goes on without anything that was there before.

New shapes fill out old forms.

And this spark of life shows its potential once more.
