I:
His words sliced me open like the teeth of a trex.
His gaze felt like the weight of a sauropod.
But I liked it,
like a raptor loved its vibrant feathers.
When I finally came to my senses,
I ended our love
With the force of an asteroid.
II:
There are fossils all over my heart.
Skulls of lovers,
their words immortalised
in the form of Megalodon teeth.
I’d love to uncover them
And make sense of them,
Piece by piece,
Recreating a lost world.
Or I leave them where they are.
In the darkness
of my heart’s petrified flesh.
